Employee's Act

The moment you attend a job interview in Malaysia, the first thing they shove at you is a 3 to 5 pages application form. You know what, most of the questions are redundant and boring and invades your privacy.

Questions like marital status, date of birth, race, religion, list of family members, your first sexual intercouse...bla, bla are absolutlely unnecessary. Why is so important to know a person's racial and religious background? How does it contribute to their work or company?

Read the article about questions which are against the law, during job interviews in the US. Are we any closer to them? We have employers who treat employees like slaves and expect them to work long hours. In fact if you are able to work 24x7x30 and without much demand, they are willing to employ you. That explains the influx of foreign labour.
